New York State Democratic Party releases new radio ad supporting Governor Cuomo's budget and ethics initiatives
New York, NY

60 second radio spot features Governor Cuomo asking New Yorkers to join the fight by raising their voices and urging Legislature to act

The New York State Democratic Committee today released a new 60 second radio spot in support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo's budget and ethics initiatives. The spot begins running today on radio stations throughout the State.

In the ad, Governor Cuomo reminds voters how they elected him to clean up Albany and get the State's economy moving again. He then adds "that's just what we are going to do".

The ad addresses the current budget crisis as well as the need for ethics reform throughout State government. The Governor ends with a call urging New Yorkers to go to a web site www.cleanupalbanynow.com and sign up to join the fight for a new New York.

Below is the full transcript of the radio ad:

Hello – this is Governor Andrew Cuomo; you elected me to clean up Albany and to get the state’s economy running once again and that’s just what we are going to do.

We need a sweeping new ethics plan that will give us a government that we can be proud of; a government that works for the people and not for the special interest.

I proposed a new budget that closes a 10 billion dollar deficit with no new taxes; that’s right with no new taxes and it forces government to cut the waste and inefficiency.

Now, we need the state legislature to act and I need your help.  Albany politicians need to hear your voice, democracy works when the people act.

Please join our team to build a new New York, go to www.cleanupalbanynow.com

Let’s get New York back to work. Thank you.
