NY Gop candidates Fall in Line With Extreme Pro-NRA Stances ar GOP Guvernatorial Debate
For Immediate Release: June 21, 2022
NEW YORK, NY: While the nation continues to reel from mass shootings, far-right GOP candidates Lee Zeldin and Andrew Giuliani continue to proudly tout their pro-gun views at tonight’s debate.
Lee Zeldin said, "New York’s gun laws go too far and that the State needs to make changes to Red Flag Laws" and "I am a proud A-Rated NRA member."
Both candidates have a long record of helping perpetuate gun violence. Zeldin held a rally with far-right supporters saying that red flag laws should be repealed. Giuliani disagrees with New York raising the age to buy an assault-style rifle to 21 and other gun control measures.
