Black Lives Matter

The New York Democratic Committee recognizes that racism is embedded within our society as a whole and our system of justice. We commit to work every day to ensure this country lives up to the basic ideals of equality, equal opportunity, and equal justice under the law – for every citizen.

This page is intended to be a resource for the community, listing actionable steps and resources to help advance the cause of social justice.

Vote

Legendary civil rights leader John Lewis said that voting “is the most powerful non-violent tool we have in a democracy." While the 2020 General Election may be behind us, plenty of local races will be held in 2021.
