Operations Director


Job Description: The New York State Democratic Committee seeks an Operations Director to join our team in 2024. The Operations Director will be responsible for managing all administrative aspects of the 2024 coordinated campaign. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated, creative thinkers who are dedicated to electing Democrats up and down the ballot. 

The Organizing Data Director will:

  • Assist with hiring and onboarding of all organizing staff; manage components of staff training as it relates to policies, procedures, and security standards set by the campaign.
  • Locate and help to secure regional offices, finalize leases, and set up utilities.
  • Work closely with the Coordinated Campaign Director to accurately track projected expenses and manage the coordinated campaign budget.
  • Coordinate and manage payroll for all coordinated campaign employees including tracking hours for all non-exempt employees.

Ideal Experience and Characteristics:

  • At least 2 cycles of campaign experience, with previous operations experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and the skills needed to work meaningfully with those who are culturally different from the self; a commitment to fostering a positive working environment grounded in the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Highly organized and independent work style; a strong ability to multitask and communicate
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to build relationships, listen, collaborate, and lead with respect and professionalism.

Pay Range: $6,000 - 7,000/month + benefits. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.

Organizing Data Director


Job Description: The New York State Democratic Committee seeks an Organizing Data Director to join our data team in 2024. The Organizing Data Director will be responsible for maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of our voter contact and volunteer engagement programs by designing reports, tools, and resources for staff, as well as providing analysis and projections. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated, creative thinkers who are dedicated to electing Democrats up and down the ballot. 

The Organizing Data Director will:

  • Build reporting tools and create regular reports for campaign leadership and coordinated campaign partners
  • Manage all organizing software and corresponding data and analytics, including predictive dialers, texting software, relational organizing databases, and campaign volunteer databases

Ideal Experience and Characteristics:

  • At least two years or cycles of experience in a data role in a campaign or progressive advocacy or electoral organization
  • Experience with creating reporting systems for organizing programs; advanced knowledge of VAN and Excel or Google Sheets is required
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and the skills needed to work meaningfully with those who are culturally different from the self; a commitment to fostering a positive working environment grounded in the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Highly organized and independent work style; a strong ability to multitask and communicate
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to build relationships, listen, collaborate, and lead with respect and professionalism.

Pay Range: $5,500 - 6,500/month + benefits. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
