NASSAU COUNTY, NY: New York State Democratic Chairman Jay S. Jacobs has released the following statement regarding Congressman Tom Suozzi's comments:
For Tom Suozzi to politicize this weekend’s racist terrorist attack by blaming the Governor demonstrates both how desperate his campaign is and how shockingly offensive his judgment has become.

NEW YORK, NY: Another day passed, and Lee Zeldin continues to distance himself from his extreme, anti-abortion agenda by downplaying his own recent statements on his far-right plans. A new report from Newsday highlights just how far Zeldin will go to mislead New Yorkers and hide his record.
In a closed-door campaign event, Zeldin promoted his far-right platform, telling the Right to Life Party that he would open the executive chamber to anti-abortion advocates and appoint a health commissioner opposed to abortion rights.

NEW YORK, NY: Lee Zeldin is backing away from his extreme, anti-abortion record and proposed plans if elected. The GOP gubernatorial candidate is desperate to hide his widely unpopular, anti-choice agenda from New Yorkers, deceiving voters on his plans for New York.
Just last week Zeldin hosted the New York Right to Life Party, touting his plans to appoint a pro-life health commissioner and stating that anti-abortion advocates would have "open door" access to his administration if elected governor. Zeldin wants to walk a fine line between pandering to the far-right and hiding his own record that is vastly out-of-touch with New Yorkers but New Yorkers will see right through him.

NEW YORK, NY: Lee Zeldin is now covering up his anti-abortion record following widespread blowback in response to the Supreme Court’s reported decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Today, Zeldin said that the law on abortion is clear regardless of what SCOTUS decides and that "nothing changes in the state of New York."

NEW YORK, NY: Yesterday’s news that the Supreme Court has voted to overturn abortion rights in a draft opinion is a grave warning for our state and our nation. This decision sounds the alarm on a dark future where women do not have the right to control their own bodies – a future that will become a reality unless we get to work.
Republicans will stop at nothing to strip away health care and basic rights, and in New York, that threat has been made abundantly clear by anti-choice gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin.

NEW YORK, NY: Last night, Lee Zeldin spent nearly an hour with the New York Right to Life Party, gushing over his plans to welcome the ideas and policies of the extreme, anti-abortion group.
During the meeting, Zeldin joined the anti-abortion group saying he’s, “looking forward to being able to bring our ideas, our passion, our values, to the governor's office” and offered “open-door” access to his administration. Zeldin’s “ideas and passions” are the same far-right policies that Republicans are pushing across the nation to restrict a woman’s right to choose.
